COSMOS episodes 1 and 2 will screen together on September 26 on the UW Seattle campus. This special double-feature will begin at 6 p.m. See details below.

Beginning in September, Our Universe:Seattle will run free screenings of the classic Carl Sagan series COSMOS: A Personal Voyage.

The gatherings are a great way to meet other Seattle space buffs, talk about space science, and get psyched for the release of the Neil deGrasse Tyson reboot, slated for television release in 2014.

Unless otherwise noted, all screenings will take place twice a month on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m., alternating between the Museum of Flight and the University of Washington’s Seattle campus. Most screenings will feature an informal discussion of the night’s episode led by a local scientist.

To RSVP and learn more about each COSMOS episode, go to http://www.meetup.com/Our-Universe-Seattle.

These free screenings are being offered with the support of the Museum of Flight, Washington NASA Space Grant Consortium, the University of Washington Astrobiology Program, and Sagan-Druyan Associates, Inc.
